As a Financial Data Analyst you will join our Financial Research business line supporting and cooperating with Analysts from the EEMEA Cross Asset
Strategy and Economics team of a London-based investment bank.

Key responsibilities:
• Maintaining econometric models created in various programs
including Python, Eviews, Matlab, and Excel.
• Conducting analysis of macroeconomic and financial markets data
obtained from Bloomberg, DataStream and other data sources,
• Evaluating the impact of macroeconomic data releases on financial
markets.
• Preparing draft versions of related reports published by the team,
• Responding to ad-hoc queries including data collection, aggregation
and analysis as per client requirements.

Skills required:
Masters in Economics/Econometrics/Statistics,
• Excellent level of English,
• Strong understanding of how macroeconomic events, fixed income,
FX and equity markets interact with each other,
• Good analytical capability to identify and explore long term trends,
• Proficiency in Python or Eviews and/or Matlab is a must,
• Advanced Excel skills,
• Very good grasp of econometric concepts,
• Knowledge of programming languages i.e., R, VBA or Python is an
additional asset,
• Former experience in economics research would be an advantage,
• Experience in working with market data providers: Bloomberg, Haver,
IMF, Eurostat, World Bank is a plus.
